It's become fairly traditional to hire a musical entertainment or two for an Eastercon, whether it's the folk harpist or guitarist of the Adelphi Eastercons (or Les Barker!), the orchestra at LX, the Biker Morris at Confabulation (did they charge?) or the Alien Jazz Band at Orbital.

And personally I like Mitch Benn's stuff. It's not like he'd be likely to show up without being paid (his rate for the convention is far less than his standard rate btw).

While I'd love to have Bill Bailey or Tim Minchin, I don't think we're likely to be able to afford either of those (without them also taking a large cut from their standard rate) ... personally I'd love to see the Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre perform at an Eastercon, he/they were fabulous at Redemption.
