I never, ever, do this. But elisem has a sort of project going, and I thought 'I can do that'. And just in case I'm wrong, I'm posting before reading any of the others.



Nine Things About Oracles

The future is a cloudy gem
My father laughing with next year's olives
They say I foresee the harvest

Flashes of blue clarity
My eyes will cloud and my limbs will wither
They give thanks for my gift

I turn the gem to see a little more
My mother crying as she mourns her sons
They ask if our armies will prevail
