So if you haven't done it yet, don't click through. The quiz is here, though further answers are just for fun. Does anyone know if I can now edit the quiz to make answers viewable?

Gratifyingly, exactly one person had all the answers right! Step forward [livejournal.com profile] gashinryu. [livejournal.com profile] grega was second, with just one slightly silly mistake.

Turning to the extra credit section, lots of people mentioned "Smoke on the Water", which we certainly should have put in. There was support for "Bohemian Rhapsody" from several people who should go and listen to it. [livejournal.com profile] nuttyxander suggested "The 3am Eternal", which is a line in one of the other intros quizzes, netting us an extra two points. But we think the best combination of easily recognisable unique suggestion that's in our record collection was [livejournal.com profile] akirlu with "Tusk".

Great quiz...thanks!

And thanks to Greg also - for saving me the embarrassment of losing another Boob Off. ;-)

Well, if I'd had the nerve to do the clicky thing, I'd have had six right and a couple of incredibly embarrassing wrong guesses - what comes of an incredibly unmusical upbringing, and not really discovering music properly until I moved back to Edinburgh.

Are there remedial classes I could take, I wonder?

high ranking Docs.

The closest I come to a forehead-slapping moment is "Right Here, Right Now," which I've certainly heard, with some frequency, but I suspect bad disc jockey practices may have hobbled me. As for the rest, well, I've heard of the Boo Radleys and Coldplay, which is more than I can say for either the Tom Robinson Band or Daniel Beddingfield, and while I know Oasis was big in the UK, I've never knowingly heard them. So, on the whole, I feel mollified. Thanks for posting the answers, and for the props about "Tusk". It does seem to fit with the distinctiveness-of-intro, huge-pop-hit theme fairly well, anyhow.

Well, I didn't do as badly as I could've. My problem was mostly "Aaagh! I know this, but..." except for Daniel-bloody-Beddingfield...

The file wouldn't download for me, but I appreciate the chance to hone my automatic writing skills as I tried to guess what the songs were without hearing them. Thanks!

There was no way I'd get that Bownie song. I don't even know what it is from the title.

Daniel Beddingield I might have got if he wasn't such an annoying tit was on the R2 playlist lately.
